The Treatment

Osteopathy is a gentle, hands-on approach that aims to restore balance and movement in the body. Instead of focusing on symptoms, it looks at how different systems, structural, visceral, and cranial, influence each other. By releasing tension and blockages, the body can regain its own ability to function and heal naturally.

During a session, I use subtle manual techniques to assess and treat the horse’s body as a whole. Each treatment is adapted to the individual animal and its current needs. Some horses respond immediately, while others need more time to process the changes, it’s always the body that decides the pace.

A session usually takes about 45-60 minutes. After the treatment, you’ll receive a short written summary with my observations and recommendations. I aim to send this report within two working days via email.

To make the treatment as effective and comfortable as possible, please make sure that:

  • The horse is clean and dry before the session.
  • The horse has not been exercised or ridden right before the treatment. The horse must be able to cool down before the session.
  • We have a place to work, with enough space and minimal distractions, where the horse feels at ease.
  • You inform me of any medical conditions or medication use, especially pain relief.
(I do not treat sedated or medicated animals.) Please consult me when in doubt.
  • You are present during the session and will hold the horse. In this way the horse can feel at ease and we can work together to get the best results.

These points apply mainly to horses, but most of them are also valid for other animals.

Payment can be made via Swish or in cash.
